Sometimes, when you hold someone so dear to you so tightly, willing to be by their side once they need you, only to realise that you've never been the top of their priority. Just a back-up plan when they've got no friends to be with them. You hold on to the precious memories shared, memories too surreal and far that made you doubt if it's your imagination instead.
They became defensive and uncomfortable and you can sense it. You act like a clown to cheer them and hopefully break the ice even though a little is dying inside.
They laughed so happily in front of friends who now their new priority.
The you start wondering to yourself, who exactly has change.
He/she who is losing trust in you, or you for being less trustworthy than before.
No one should prevent their friends from making new or better friends.
So my friend, I am giving you full freedom now.
