Finally made my first visit to a dermatologist after more than one year of pondering and researching. Some background story, I have been haunted by on-off acne problems for nearly one and a half year, which worsens during time of the month and whenever I am overseas. Sometimes, it became tame enough that I'll put off my plan for a dermatologist and then... Guess my skin just loves to play games with me. Although my case wasn't that bad, but if we can get better skin, why not? Just want to get it over and done with before graduation. #vanityissue
So one fine day (which was yesterday), I finally felt determined enough to bade farewell to the hardearn money for better skin. If you can give me clear skin, take my moneyyy (not all though. I don't have spare cash). Hopefully my complexion will be worth the damage I am doing to my body with the crazy amount of tetracycline and the angst of the new regime(feeling so exposed and dry now since the new regime is really, not applying anything at all on the face. No moisturizer/sunscreen etc and those who know me prob understand my high dependence on moisturizer on both my face and body) and the money poured(S$69 for a cleanser and a bulk of tetra. Nope, no cream at all)! Gonna have a little faith that things will turn out well!! (:
One good thing is that despite the good reviews, the line was so short (yeah to having holidays!) and so not much time was wasted on waiting. A little funny when the derm was describing with so much enthusiasm how skincare products/facials/masks are actually harming our skin and so we need to avoid it/ if tetra is so harmful, nobody would want to visit him etc. He prob repeated the same story gazillion times but imagine repeating that with these much pride every single time. Woah. Extremely dramatic unlike how reviews describe him to be but oh wells.
Prob gonna look back at this in a few months time and either regret it/thankful for this decision. We shall see!! (:
