HAPPY NEW YEAR 2015!!~~

Wanted to do a happy post to start off 2015 initially but this post had been lingering here for quite some time so thought that I'll get it off first!!

I think I know why diving was such a great experience.

Because its one of the rare times when the noisy world is really quiet, sometimes to the point of being uncomfortable initially. I have always been very sensitive to noise so I cant really concentrate well whenever there's noise around. Music, people whispering, kids screaming in the background or even simple rotor sounds. And because there is so much noise going around, I find it really hard to concentrate in so many stuff.  And being such a multi-task noob doesnt make anything better. Explains why I prefer doing many things alone. At least you can concentrate on your current situation/observing better instead of digressing, talking about people etc. But diving really forces you into the situation of being constantly present. It blocks the world away and all you need to do is to focus on your breathing, ensuring your balance and to enjoy the view around you. Its really just that simple. You forget all about your troubles on land, who cares about the world? Just be present.

Yet, on a few meet ups recently, it seems like there are quite a number of us who are so afraid of silence. So long as there is silence, they'll have to fill the gap. Of course, i am grateful to these few friends who seem to have an endless list of entertaining encounters but sometimes, its also worrying to see such a situation. Why is silence so scary in the first place? Why do we need to be entertained every single minute of our lives. Otherwise, a trip in the MRT and we will see at least 80% of us staring into our phones/using phones during meetups or meal time as if we are really that busy. Because of our own insecurities? Have been asked by some friends if I am alright/ why am i not sharing anything/keeping things to myself/ being so private about everything recently.

1. I have been living a boring life i guess
2. I really prefer to listen to you talk
3. I tend to go very philosophical/theoretical about stuff which isn't something tt people would like to listen about (Most tend to engross in a lot of juicy gossips and bgr stuff which I am personally not a big fan of)
4. I am trying to save my karma
5. Don't see the point of sharing so much, since action speaks louder than words, I would rather do what I can to improve on the situation than spend time victimising myself and I don't see the need to burden anyone with my own rantings although it is quite interesting for me to listen to yours.
6. Most people don't get tired talking about themselves anyway

Not supposed to be an emo post or what-so-ever. Just a random thought of the day. I think its time we need to take a break from the noisy world and appreciate the little moments around us quietly. The world is such a big place and it doesn't really center around us. So let's give ourselves a break, throw away any insecurity and sense of self importance and start paying attention to those around us.

First quote of the year:
Confidence is not about walking into a room with your nose in the air, and thinking that you are better than everyone else, it's walking into the room and not having to compare with yourself to anyone else in the first place

May we all be more confident in the new year to come.
